A Message from our President
On behalf of TheCaterNet, it's employees, Affiliate Members
and myself, we would like to thank you for visiting our site.
You can be assured that all of us are committed to providing
the best in quality and services. We are constantly working
on new products including the continued enhancement of our
site and would like you to invite you to bookmark this page
so that you can watch how we grow.
We hope and trust that that you find everything that you
need to plan that perfect event. TheCaterNet was created on
the premise that event planning can be stressful. I know,
having planned a multitude of events from Children's Parties,
Fundraiser's, Golf Tournaments, Christmas Parties to Large
Shareholder's Meetings. It is a lot of work and as the event
coordinator you are at the center of attention if things go
right or if things go terribly wrong.
I would like to share with you my first party disaster. I
was seven years old and had agreed to host my best girlfriends
birthday party. There was one major thing that I failed to
do. I neglected to tell my mother. Well that Saturday rolled
around and the little girls started showing up for the party
in their dresses and bearing gifts. I was caught by surprise
(because I totally forgot about this commitment) and didn't
know what to do since my mother wasn't home at the time. In
a frantic attempt to try and pull together "party goodies",
I whipped out my Easy Bake Oven (this was in the early 60's
for those who can relate), and proceeded to cook a 4"x1"
cake by the heat of a light bulb! This little morsel by the
way, was supposed to feed 7 girls!
Needles to say, my party was a flop. I was extremely embarrassed
and my little friend was disappointed. I vowed from that day,
that whenever I was planning a party, that there will be no
forgotten details! I have since held this vow true to my heart
and have friends, family members and Companies that can attest
to that fact.
I also am a person who believes in helping people, making
a difference and giving back to our communities. That is why
a large part of our proceeds are going to fund The Victoria
House Foundation, a non-profit organization benefiting women
and children. Groundbreaking efforts are currently underway
for this much needed project and we hope to have a facility
in place sometime in late 2003.
In closing, I would like to extend many thanks for visiting
our site and a special thanks to our Affiliate Members who
without them, TheCaterNet would not be possible.
